In this lab, researchers, students and entrepreneurs will build and integrate mobile and digital devices. This next generation lab will be equipped with tools, such as 3D printers, sensors and electronic device components and necessary software to enable real-time data transfer & analysis.
In this area, we will be able to test and validate digital devices in a “normal home environment” setting. This will allow rapid and efficient identification and correction of technical issues and security challenges before deployment into real world settings, preventing late stage failures that add to the cost and are barriers to user adoption.
The portals will initially be located at our current D3Health Partner sites and we hope to expand these interactive portals to non-academic sites in the future. These portals will be equipped with interactive stations, state-of-the-art media and data streaming and Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality capabilities.
